Jarad & Auntie L

What a beautiful day. And what a wonderful time we have had with our family. Tuesday we had to go back to work so Lois and Jarad went back to V&A Waterfront. They took the bus tour around Cape Town and truly enjoy seeing the sights. They shopped some more for some last minute gifts for home. Lois left on an early flight on Wednesday because of her "space available" status with her airline. Jarad left Thursday about noon. I really never thought anyone would ever come this far to visit. To date we have had three visitors. Ryan Taylor and Jarad and Lois. We are so blessed to be able to share our time here with those we love so much. Something we will share for the rest of our lives.

Day 3

Jarad and me on the top of Table Mountain. We rode the cable car to the top looking 3000 feet below.

Young people preparing to repel of a cliff...."Oh my sick!"

One young lady said, "My mother would kill me if she knew I was doing this!" Yeah! if the falls doesn't!

A great view of the top.

Clouds around us...how very beautiful!

Restaurant at the top and where we had a bite to eat

V&A Waterfront

Musical group at the waterfront...great performers

Beautiful shot, love the lights

What a wonderful day. We prayed for sun so that we would be able to take Lois and Jarad to the top of Table Mountain. This was Elder Henderson and my second time. The first time petrified me, (fear of heights) but this time I was much better and even though the wind was chilling like ice, we were overwhelmed by the magnificent view of Cape Town. Jarad didn't want to leave.

We left Table Mountain and headed for our chapel at Mitchell's Plain. Today is "Women's Day" in South Africa. The elders had prepared a special dinner for the women. Linen table cloths, four course meal, soft music and lots of chatter from the women as we enjoyed each others company.

Leaving the social we decided to go to the V&A Waterfront. What a beautiful place at night and not too chilly. We went in several stores, listened to a musical street group who were very good, in fact Jarad bought one of their CD's. We all agreed we were getting a bit hungry. As we were walking toward the restaurants the funniest thing happened when a Seagull pooped on Jarad's head. We had a good laugh over that one for several days. As we approached a place that looked very crowded we all agreed the food must be good. As we were seated our thoughts were, "This place must be expensive." To our surprise it was very reasonable and we enjoyed Sushi, on white linen table cloths and fantastic service at 8:30 at night. WHAT A DAY!!!!
