everyone else we had sacrament meeting for only one hour in the
morning. After which we came home and continued preparation on our
turkey dinner. The elders had arranged to be at our flat at 1 pm.
However, they were detained with the members of their ward and arrived
at 3:30 pm. It was good though, we were able to catch a much needed nap.
I had put the mashed potato's in the oven to keep warm. The potatoes
here are a little bit different, but close to ours. When I took them
out of the oven they looked like a thick paste, the surprising thing
was, they tasted really good. The elders ate and ate and ate. We had
planned on using our Skype but found that it was not possible here in
South Africa. Each country has a different charge. We rushed to the
mission office, which is only 10 minutes away, and they were able to
speak to their families......they were ecstatic. Kami called us at 7:30
pm, so while we were talking to them, the elders did the dishes, they are so very
sweet. |
