DAY 5

Part of our responsibility is to inspect the boardings of the elders making sure they are clean and free from flies and roaches, and of course are clean. We made plans to drive to Fish Hoek and Hermanus. We needed to take a car to the elders in Hermanus. I drove our car and Amanda rode with me, Kami and Elder H were un the other car. Amanda and I were able to have some more fun times together even though driving that far on my own was not my first choice, being with Amanda was delightful. We first went to Fish Hoek and after the inspection we went to the beach to see the penguins.

Hermanus was our next stop. After dropping off the car we went to Spar's for lunch where Amanda let out her energy on the inflatable gym.

Our hopes were to see a whale. In fact Kami fondest hope was that she would be abel to see a whale. What a glorious day it was, when those you have lived here all their life never have seen a whale, we were able to see over 40 sightings. There was a Wright Whale that surfaced just in front of us and showed himself about five times. Elder H was able to capture some marvelous video but unfortunately I can't get it to post to the blog. Our day ended with some incredible shots of the sunset that Elder H took from the beach. Could life get any better?
